COVID-19 Preventative Measures

I want to thank everyone that is contributing to the effort to stop the COVID-19 pandemic. Please continue to take care of yourselves and each other. It is at times like these that we can truly see the effects of our actions on our communities, and our species - including the kind and thoughtful actions of others during a difficult time. Unfortunately, many small businesses will be hit hard by the quarantines and other disease prevention measures. There are many factors that will affect the ability of businesses to run smoothly, especially while there are huge disruptions to infrastructure. In the case of Novel, the shop will be shut for the foreseeable future. I have big hopes and plans for Novel so this is not a goodbye, but I would like to thank everyone that has supported and continues to support Novel. The orders, engagement and well wishes are all very much appreciated and have meant so much. If you have recently made an order, or are ordering from any other online stores please keep in mind - you are not at high risk of contracting coronavirus through the post! However, viruses can survive up to 72 hours on surfaces. As your package will be handled by multiple people throughout shipping, you may wish to take precautions just to be on the safe side. If you are concerned about any items coming into your home, avoid contact with the item for 72 hours and/or wash your hands thoroughly after touching them. I wish you all good physical and mental health during this difficult period.
